Blogger News: Honeyed Blackberry Syrup 11.7.16

Simmer juicy blackberries with honey to create a luxurious syrup that's a fun addition to cocktails and perfect drizzled over pancakes, waffles or vanilla ice cream.




  • 2 (6-ounce) containers blackberries (about 2 cups)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch ground cinnamon


In a medium saucepan, bring blackberries, honey, lemon juice and cinnamon to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes or until blackberries have softened and released their juices, stirring frequently and mashing berries with a spatula. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on solids. Discard solids. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
